Believe
One of my inspirations to strive to succeed comes from one Icon in the MMA world. His name is Charles”Mask” Lewis, the founder of the TAPOUT clothing brand. Even though I have never met him personally, he has some impact on my life.
Coming from hard times as a young man this gentleman had an idea and ran with it at 1000%, never giving up when friends and family doubted him and his vision. Sleeping on friends couches and being close to broke he and friend Dan “Punkass” Caldwell pounded the pavement hard with their ‘BELIEF’ in this sport and their TAPOUT brand. Their clothing line started in 1997 working out of their car and both holding several jobs to keep the company running and to now distributing their line in 20,000 retail stores worldwide with a revenue of close to $100 Million. Charle “Mask” Lewis has never stopped ”BELIEVING”.
Unfortunately Charles “Mask” Lewis Jr. left us this year but will definately leave an impact on all who knew him or knew about him. His inspiration will live on.
As a tribute I am posting his last interview before him leaving us for all of you to see what type of man he was and how one of the most important word in success is defined.
